"AMAZON support", used wrong name, strange behavior, dropped the call.
Just received a call from this number saying they are calling from HMRC and that I have committed some sort of fraud, they want you to press 1 now to speak to someone at HMRC otherwise you will be arrested imminently! Obviously a scan, when does HMRC ever call people.
Automated message claiming to be from BT about a call I had missed regarding suspicious behaviour on my intranet (!), and that I would be disconnected as a result. Option to speak to someone about this. Obvious a scam as I am not with BT.

Received a call but didn’t connect upon answering the call. Also received a call a couple of hours earlier from 02119768666 with a recorded message indicating that the Internet will be disconnected due to illegal activity and to press 1 to speak to someone. Potential scams ?
SCAM. Claimed to be from MyHermes with message re delivery of a parcel (I was expecting several parcels) saying they missed me & I wasn’t in. I was home all day. A link to a web site was left on the txt www.redelivery-nextday-gb.com I clicked on the link and a red screen came up with Deceptive Website Warning and this site may try to trick you into doing something dangerous like installing soft ware or disclosing personal or financial information like passwords, phone numbers or credit cards. SCAM.

Who are these people and how did they get my mobile number? When you ring the number back they don t identify themselves and ask you to leave a message. Sounds very dodgy so be aware.
