Said they were calling re Thomas Cook all inclusive holiday compensation. Never used Thomas Cook....SCAM!!!

Today i was called by this number and guranteed a loan of 2000 and i paid then a 50 ukash voucher and they told me to wait until 7 and then the money would be in my account yet now it is not, i have tried the phone number again and noone is answering this number is a scam and i think that the police should do something about it

I saw it said Birmingham England and the number, Its never rang me before So I didn t answer

Let them ramble on for a bit; apparently I could be owed thousands in PPI claims, which they would chase for me for only 30% of it. For reassurance they gave me a different callback number to the one that had rung on my mobile, then asked if I would speak to my bank and request PPI information on their behalf while they kept me on hold. Received missed call but no voicemail left. I am abroad at the moment so expect it was only a short call. I have no known contacts in the area code.

Called twice within the hour during the evening. Nottingham code. We live hundreds of miles from there! Left answer machine to deal with it. Recorded message saying there was a power cut in our area (there was not) press a number to acknowledge we'd heard the message (we didn't). We unplugged the phone overnight as they'd said they'd let us know when the power would be back on. Odd!
