Guy with very strong Indian accent, calls within seconds of me posting an advert on Gumtree. Said he was from Victoria Insurance and that it was about my recent minor road traffic accident I reported a couple of days ago. Told him I ve never had an accident and hung up. Number now blocked. This number rang my landline, but I ve had this number call my mobile on number on occasions until blocked on there also

Missed call -This number called me a few times and when I finally answerred they called me by my first name, I asked if I knew them and they said that the connection was bad and that they would call back, they called back 3 times but I didnt answer.

SCAM CLAIMING THEY ARE FROM BRITISH GAS, ONCE I TOLD THEM I KNEW THEY WERE NOT BRITISH GAS HE SAID ITS TOO LATE CHECK YOUR BANK DETAILS.. THEY ARE VERY CONVINCING AND WILL KEEP RINGING AND RINGING. BRITISH GAS HAVE CONFIRMED THESE IDIOTS ARE NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM.

They left a voicemail which was an automated message saying press 5 to speak to an agent or 9 to opt out. Pressed 9 but the voice says you cannot sent a text to this number !!! Hung up and blocked!!
TAXES / HMRC Call received letting me know that my National Insurance number had been compromised. Claiming to be from National Crime Agency. I have had a number of these calls from 07932 430057, then 07932 430068. I'm sure if you press 1 to be connected to someone you will be paying a fortune for the call. Just block it. If HMRC or the NCA want to get hold of you they won't be doing it with a random mobile number!!

Fairly well spoken Man claiming I had just called him from my number. Repeatedly asked me for my name when I kept telling him that I hadn’t called him he kept asking me who he was speaking to! Told him I wouldn’t give him my name as he had called me and not the other way round. He went way in the end. Not sure if it was a genuine mistake on his part but I’d certainly not called anyone snd double checked my phone, but he was determined to try and get my name.

I have managed to confirm that calls from this number are from a company debt management company called Stephenson Drake (www.stevensondrake.com. They operate by automated cold calling your number. You will either hear silence or a message asking if you are having problems with debt. If you press 5 to speak to someone then you are cut off BUT your number is stored and you will receive a follow up call from them. Fraud. I got a recorded message in an American accent saying that a criminal case has been filed against me for tax evasion. I think I am probably stupid enough to accept this and panic, but I don't believe it and burst out laughing. I think the accent tipped me of 'cause the patter was quite believable(NOT!).

SCAM from bt oopenreach. Multiple calls -told him I knew it was a scam call and hung up before I heard the story.
Fraud Some absolute cabbage tried to send me a text message saying they were unable to process my latest payment for O2. I don't have an account with O2. Had been pre-warned by family/friends that these type of text messages have been circulating. Do not open message and certainly do not click on the link(s) provided.
