Said he was calling from "Credit Investigation Department" and that his records show I was currently paying off debts in my name (false). Told him to politely bugger off and remove my number from whatever database he was using. Complained to TPS.
Have been rung by these people many times. Answered the first time as I have friends who live in Leeds. Now blacklisted.

When I pressed '1' I was linked to an Indian man who said he worked for Amazon and would I confirm payment for Annual cost of Prime was being debited to my account. I said I had not authorised this. This is aqua credit card. They called because I had attempted to make a large transaction. They asked me if I made that transaction and two other recent transactions. They knew who the transactions were with and for how much, and the caller addressed me by name. Basically, I’m convinced it was really them. To verify they were talking to me, I was asked for the first line of my address and postcode, my date of birth and the first two letters of my memorable information.

Usual rubbish call asking me to confirm if I've had an accident that wasn't my fault. When I asked them to give me details, they become more aggressive and sternly ask you to confirm you have been in an accident until they finally hang up. Very irritating and very unprofessional.
