I have just received a call from this number saying they were Amazon Prime. When I said i didn't have Amazon Prime they hung up. He was trying to get my details from me.

Called my Daughters phone. Clean phone number, not submitted to anything so obviously using a sequential dialler.

This is a SCAM. The call started with a woman stating she was from Virgin Media and had noted problems with my router; asked if I had also noticed this. I said I hadn't. She said she could help me resolve the problem. I told her she couldn't, not least because I wasn't with Virgin Media. She told me she could help because all the providers' support centres were working together on this. I told her 'nice try' and hoped the weather was good in Delhi, or wherever she was 'phoning from. Then I hung up.

Scam. Only got last 20 secs of call as it went to answerphone, but it asked for confirmation of charges to Amazon and Moneytransfer, neither of which I've used! Also an option to speak to "Fraud Team" Do not reply to this con. If you have any reason to believe it's true, contact your bank (etc) either by visiting the branch or at least use email/web address that you know is correct, not supplied by this means. Call from 01315169880, when I called the number was told it was Boots Optician and they new my name. Immediately offered to make an appointment for me, I declined. Today I called the number again answered Boots Opticians, I tried to make an appointment, asked for phone number, gave mobile number told it wasn't on the system, gave home number , not on system not on system! SCAM - A robot voice told me that £600 would be sent overseas from my card unless I pressed the '1' key to speak to someone. Didn't say which card, or which bank. I terminated the call, then tried calling the number. An answering machine announced that the number wasn't accepting calls. Obvious scam. I've blocked the number.
