This number called me today sounded like someone drowning under water very strange noises and gurgling. I hung up.

I m the MD that one person above is keen to tell everyone about. We identify our phone line (an 01422 number) and my mobile is also clear for all on our company website. I do this as we have nothing to hide. We operate strictly by the Market Research Society guidelines. We do not call anyone outside the hours of 9.30am to 9pm Monday to Friday or during the day on a Saturday. We sometimes call on a Sunday between 10am and 5pm depending on work volumes. This number called and an automated voice asked me to confirm if my name was Nicolson (it isn t) when I clicked option 2 to speak to someone to update their records I got another repeating automated voice telling me the lines were busy and that they were calling on behalf of a company called Dorkies in Hardengreen. Hardengreen is about 10 miles from me. I did a Google search while listening to this automated message and couldn t find any company with that name or similar and hung up assuming it s a scam.

Although I am registered with TPS I have received a silent call from this number. I have now reported the silent call to OFCOM!
