SCAM Asian gentleman called supposedley from Virgin Media Support (called himself Daniel) wanting me to access a site and download some software (presumeable either ransomeware or logging software) when challenged with about who he was and what he was doing he hung up. BEWARE SCAMMERS

Automated message purportedly from VISA about a £600 debit on my account about 10.17am Mon 15 Mar, 2021. Their phone number (sourced from 1471) shares the same first 8 digits with two numbers featured on this site: 211 and 212. This implies that the company behind this scam has purchased a string of phone numbers. Surely, it can't be beyond the wit of the authorities to close them down.

this is the second number to ring to say that they were calling from virgin media and that I was having problems with my internet and my router was intermittent and had a fault. Just had another call from this number today - ESI Scotland again. What are the TPS and ICO playing at? They should be hammering these lawbreakers. I will be asking qustions of the TPS and ICO.
