I got the same number today on my landline. I was out at the time. Did not recognise the number so checked this site and see it is another nuisance call.
Asian accented male called "George" who wanted to know which handset and mobile provider I was using. I asked if he would like to stop wasting time and just ask for my credit card details. He hung up.

SCAM Automatic message saying that I (no name given) am "being investigated for tax evasion" (no organisation name given either), and to find out more, I should "press 1". I hung up, as it sounded like a scam.
Rang this morning, but showed as as an International (02??) call so I ignored it. When I went back into the phone to see my unanswered calls, it showed a sthis number.

I got a call from this number and they were obviously trying to get personal information from me. First they asked me to tell them who I was to confirm my identity (even though they claimed to know who I was because they were calling me!). Second they told me that I needed to complete a verification process online by going to a specific website on my computer. The page they told me to go to sounded like a scam and they were trying to get me to fill out more personal information.

They phoned me saying they were from BT and trying to stop marketing calls (Like a kind of international Telephone Preference Service) and tried to get get my card details out of me. They read out my name and address to me then asked for the expiration date on my debit card so they could "verify" my details. I gave them a false one. This was a text message saying "PayPal: We have limited your account due to safety concerns. Please visit https://paypal-limitations43.com before we are forced to close your account" Within 5 min I had 2 more exactly the same from +447904580519 and +447946748210, suspect its a scam as there are no messages when I login to my account via a normal login process.

Insulation. They claim it's a survey, but you know it's a scam. Silence on line for several seconds. (I do not say anything when answering unknown numbers just to see if it is a robot messenging call). When questioned about what company he was representing, the man purported to be an energy adviser from the Insulation Advice Line. I asked him if he could provide his company number. He replied 'No'. He was rude and talked over me. The threat of reporting him because of TPS violation did not phase him.
