Had the same call this morning. Why cannot the authorities track the number/address and haul whoever it is before the courts? Unbelievable in this day and age authorities/regulators etc cannot put an end to this nonsense, when there is a phone number that can be traced.

Had a call at 11.25 today from this number with an Indian sounding man telling me that my computer had been compromised at around 01:00 this morning and they wanted more information from me so that they could investigate the hacker. He gave his address as British Telecom and, since I don't have an account with them, I thought is sounded very like a scam. The fact that the call seems to have come from India made me very suspicious.

This number should be a landline from London - I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Received a text message from this number allegedly about a delivery by EVRI - as I am expecting a delivery (from DHL) I precipitately clicked on the link which read; EVRI(UK10094786). Out of curiosity I navigated to the EVRI website and entered a combination of the above and the full set. EVRI did not recognize it any of it. I accidentally clicked the link in the text message sent which read rebook (dot) info-96 (dot) com ("to select a new slot" as they put it). My mistake! the page that open
