On 6th March Monday morning, I got an email from a company called Coinvic about cryptocurrency investment plans. The email also contained a website link and three phone numbers which I was to contact in case I was interested. I reached out to an agent called Marcus Gilliani who explained further how Ethereum will soon blow up. He also guided me on how to navigate my platform which included how to deposit and withdraw. Claimed to be from O2 and that I was overpaying for my O2 account (I don't use O2). Told me they would offer me a discount with no other changes to be made. Wanted to send a verification number that I was not to share with anyone else "even 02 staff". Hung up when they realised I wasn't falling for it - I strung them along for at least a few minutes.

Someone with a very heavy Indian accent called my mobile today offering me a free phone if I would give him my post code and details, he would then bring it round to me, he also said he was calling me because his system said I was poor and earned less than £3000 a month, I told him his information was wrong and that he was a scammer and should do better with his life, even after all that he still kept asking me for my details, I kept him on the phone for over 10 minutes.

SCAM SPAM Fraud phone call as others have claimed that they pretend to be from O2 (probably trying to take advantage of the Virgin media/O2 partial merger) or hang up instantly. They don't leave voicemails or attempt more than once as it's an automated machine going through a number list.
Well this was interesting! 028 4067 1515 (Banbury) just rang, it is Saturday at 10:55am. I did a quick google while the phone was ringing and came up with the Anglers Rest pub in Banbridge. Weird (I have no connection to the area) but seemingly legit. When I picked up, the caller said he was calling from Currys/PCWorld with a cheap mobile phone offer. I said I don't need a new phone and he said thanks and ended the call. The whole "using a legit number" is hella sneaky!!

SCAM txt telling me my Apple Pay has been suspended. & to click the link to get it sorted. I don’t use Apple Pay. Opened the PayPal app & checked that, all up & running ok on there. So obviously a scam. I fwd the txt to Action Fraud then blocked the number & deleted it.
