A person with a strong Indian accent answers and in short they invite you to settle out of court. I suspect that the caller is not UK based but is using some relay of sorts to make calls appear to be UK based. I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. Have missed calls from them on my mobile, was trying to dig some info on the internet before calling them back, but found nothing, no luck. I received a letter from Hastings Direct saying my car had been involved in an accident 6 months ago. I got suspicious as it didn t have any details of my car on the form. I called and was told line busy. I hung up after 30 seconds. I wonder how much that cost me. Great scam. Letter got my attention. I m sure my mum and dad would have held on the phone for about 30 minutes.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers) - can be something different and legitimate, but srry I'm always suspicious considering numbers for shared rate. I recommend to block the whole 0845286xxxx range... Did someone answer this number?
Scammers. They said they were from the Legal protection agency and that I was owed some money from an accident I reported in the last 3 years... they had my full name...Very scary as I never give out my number... how did they get it? Told him I had no idea what he was talking about...he rang off.
