They said they were local authority and asked if I needed any repairs, any dampness etc. I asked who had contacted them and this did not make sense. I put the phone down on them. She gave me no information whatsoever and the background was silent.

Call from a SCAM gardening & landscaping firm (Tree & Landscaping Services) who send round a team (family members) who will not go away until paid large sums of money. My mother paid them over £600 for about an hour with a chainsaw cutting down healthy trees. They demanded payment in cash & took her to a bank to collect that. I reoprted the offenders to Greater Manchester police who refused to take action.

this is united utilities trying to fix the bills for properties with commercial buildings attached
did not recognise number. I answered but did not speak. there was a lot of background chatter, possibly a crowded office or call centre. caller just repeated "hello" without any introduction. they gave up after a few moments and just said "ok" and hung up.

Was rung by this number - automatic voice message regarding my supposed visa account having no money in it, £95 aparantly taken. Cut off the call. Checked banking - no such issue. Scam call. Hard as its a local number so elderly when seeing number would possibly assume local bank.

Just had a call from this number. He said he was from 3 and was offering me an upgrade for my phone and cheaper monthly payments. I asked him to confirm the first line of my address and he said, you should know it and put the phone down.
It said it was from the UK (where I am) but when I went to answer my battery went flat and cut off so I looked up on here to see who I'd missed. I don't know anyone in Russia.

SCAM Another happy go lucky "Fraud Office" call, about "Unusual Activity on you account", who get potty mouthed when you inform them no transaction has occurred or is pending according to your banking app. Same thing everyday, so used to it I can quote the entire automated call back to them.

I received a phone from a person called Kevin representing Windows technical support from phone number 02045009692. He told me the usual nonsense about my computer but I told him that I was not interested as I had got rid of my computer because of these scam phone calls. I told him in no uncertain terms not to bother me again.
SCAM? This number called with a recorded message saying to press 1 to speak to hmrc tax officer. Did not have my name or anything but said that discrepancies had been found on my tax return and could be a criminal offence. Cut off when I didn't respond. Doubt that hmrc would be calling from Russia

I was then contacted by a Carlo by WA with a pic of a woman The role was too good to be true, 30 mins a day, remote working for an unbelievable sum of money I told them I needed to think about it and they should give me more time to think about until next week. Well, the Carlo guy kept texting me randomly - first asking how I was the next day, then sending me pics of aNY ‘library’

Some indian guy claiming to be from a quality center clqiming that I had registered at some trading platform. I was absolutely sure I hadn't registered on the site by mistake as all my information was there. Funny enough he could not give me the date of my supposed registration!
