"David", in his very difficult-to-understand accent, said he was calling from '3' about upgrading my phone. Do I have an iPhone or a Samsung? I don't even have a contract with 3, so this has got to be some sort of scam. I rang off.

A man with a very strong accent (difficult to understand) spoke about iPhones. I asked where he got my number from and he said 'from your provider, Vodaphone'. I'm not with Vodaphone so I told him that's untrue and he must be lying. He then proceeded to call me a liar - twice! Bizarre phone call. Potentially trying to gain personal data. Blocked.

I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. Asked for my full name, which I queried as he was supposed to have my account records. However, not giving anything away, I did so but he misspelled everything. Number came with an email looking as if I had bought a TV on eBay which had a delivery address in a distant town. Checked eBay account and cannot find any evidence of purchases. Think it must be a scam. Person who answered the phone seemed very genuine!

02032894834 called me (foreign Asian voice) Claimed to be calling to do with my using the Windows server. They had my home address, and landline phone number. I told them I was not interested and had no problems with my Windows PC. I ended the call without listening to what they wanted, so can’t be sure if a scam (likely they would tell me PC/Windows needed attention, as many similar types of calls are reported) They may have something to sell, but cold calls are not something I listen to.
