Caller told me they were from visa and someone was trying to use my card for something costing over £900. It said I should press 1 to cancel or 2 to go ahead. Its obviously nothing to do with Visa so I pressed nothing and hung up the call immediately.

This was a text message saying "PayPal: We have limited your account due to safety concerns. Please visit https://paypal-limitations43.com before we are forced to close your account" Within 5 min I had 2 more exactly the same from +447904580519 and +447946748210, suspect its a scam as there are no messages when I login to my account via a normal login process.
I was called by an indian man with poor command of the english language claiming they were from a lifestyle company or such like and also had my full name and address, and they said they had obtained this information from a free database, once I said I wasnt prepared to answer any questions they hung up. lots of calls from Crime Prevention company they will just not give up even trying to con a colleague into saying yes when I have already told them no!!! Had similar experience previously by a different name and they actually only ever printed 12 copies of their newspaper which we had been asked to advertise in! This is how they can seem legal. Had a call at 1221 today, 12 Jan 17 but caller left no message, so obviously a scam/spoof/marketing call. Tried ringing the number back but got a Sky Voicemail Service.
