Many report this number as being Scottish Power... But what I got was a silent call typical of any scammer. And, as I don t have a Scottish Power bill owing I blocked the number! - I say it s a fake/fraud/phishing attempt.
I had a call from this number today claiming to be from the legal team at my insurance company LV about an accident id had in Dec where my car was written off. The man knew of my name, address, post code, the date of my crash, and he said that a company called ensure had made a payment to them to forward on to me, but I've never heard of them and never claimed for myself, just the cost of my veichle which was straight forward and all sorted weeks ago. As I grew suspicious and picked up on a few minor detail

Called twice in two days, claimed to be named "Alice" the first time (unlikely, given her heavy Indian accent), claimed to be from BT Openreach. We use a VOIP system so I put the phone down. Second time, gave no name but claimed to be calling from "[y]our electricity provider".
