21 After attempting to make an online payment on a Halifax credit card while in the Philippines, the transaction was declined even before the bank's usual verification SMS message. To cut a long story short enough to fit the character liimit, this is not the Halifax, despite websites that say it is. The website I tried to pay was hacked and my payment was intercepted even before the bank could be contacted. THE SOPHISTICATION OF SCAMMERS IS NOW AT AN EPIDEMIC LEVEL. Don't be fooled.

Sometimes there’s silence, other times a heavily accented Asian man from (always incoherent bank name/financial services) mispronunces our name and insists my spouse left information online requesting information.
