Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. They show you some files that they know every computer has and tell you they re harmful, which is completely untrue. They then use the remote access to steal from you. Unsolicited calls - seems like a scam

Asian sounding company keep phoning saying they are doing marketing, then proceed to ask a string of questions about age, marital status, life insurance, phone provider, IT provider, TV package provider. I kept saying I didn t want any more phone calls and where this information was going, he kept ignoring me and asking the same questions saying they would not contact again but wouldn t say that they would not pass the information on to other parties. Ditto to last comment. Two or three times a day. If you answer it goes to a ringing tone. Balls to that. Have blocked about 30 0843 numbers so far. They just keep coming.

This number called my mobile. I did not answer, but wanted to check the number out first. there was no bad report on the number. when I tried to return the call there was no answer then a "click" in the line and a message that the "other person had hung up". this makes me think it s somebody trying to sell you something nobody wants

This is a fraudulent number who are trying to scam bank details etc
