Second time they said they are from Amazon and that someone has tried to buy something on your account. Very insistent and pushy. Asian accent.

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). SCAM. 0710721862 called. Began asking whether gas boiler due for update. Iliterate - could not read his obvious script - English is clearly not first language. When I was asked the age of the boiler I said it was installed 9 months ago. He did not understand and got confused. I suggested he went back to school and he hung up. Could be attempt at identity theft or something more sinister. Number now blocked.

I received a 'phone call from 02034326587. A gentleman with an Indian accent, who knew my first name, tried to sell me something about cryptocurrencies, whether it was a course or an investment opportunity I don't know as I replied that it wasn't anything I was interested in. Despite that, he was quite persistant, until I asked him where he had got my name and number, at which point the line went dead.
