Text scam using a Santander debit card transaction as a front.
Asian guy called claiming to be from the National Grid and wanted my details, including DOB, saying that power in my area was getting shutdown. An obvious SCAM.

This is a scam company trying to sell services for stock trading. They use a multiple mobile back up numbers also. They are always non English natives with Russian, east European, Indian accents featuring. They will offer to send you a clickable What's App link which is possibly infected with a Trojan virus or takes you to a website. They will keep calling no matter you telling them you are not interested. Definitely avoid.

28 Nov. 2022 (17:33) a chap with Indian accent called me claiming to be from BT to say that my computer may have been compromised and that he could check that for me if I switched it on and he ran a quick check. Complete nonsense of course and an attempted scam. He said he was calling from London but the area code is Falkirk (Scotland).

Got a call proclaiming to be O2 offering 30% discount on phone bill free of charge for loyalty. The contract mentioned is 2 weeks old and I haven't paid a bill yet! I ended the call as soon as I could, if it's genuine I would have expected a text from O2 or an email.

Randomly called said she was from sky and said our internet is slow. Tried to get us to download and app called quick support. This app allows people to remotely access your phone. Fraud - received an SMS saying it was from the NHS and I'd been in close contact with someone who has COVID and to order a test from a link in the SMS. Stupidly, I clicked on the link, and entered card details for Postage of a PCR. RBS got in touch and cancelled the card, although 2 large transactions had been attempted. DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS IN ANY SMS OR ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.

please be aware of this spam. They said I had ordered a removal van and were calling to arrange one for me. It ties into several hoax calls I received last week as all the callers were sub Asians.
