SCAM: received a text message, allegedly from my daughter, at 00.54 in the morning which was 'hello mum, this is my new number. My old phone no longer works. Can you send this number a message on Whatsapp? 07706376356.' So I did. I then checked with my daughter, who confirmed that she has not changed her phone number. I have phoned the number twice since; does not pick up but does go through to an anonymous voicemail.

When I asked where did they get my number from they mumble some national something. when I said they don't have my number they said all they need to know if my house is damaged. This company reported to be Heating Services, claims to act on behalf of British Gas Homecare and deals with all their support services.
