Said they were calling to offer free inspection of loft insulation because the Government has designated some of the old stuff as "irritant". I asked who they represent and she said they work with a number of companies. I asked what her organisation was and she told me she'd get a manager to ring back in the next half hour. SCAM - Tried to convince me that they were calling on behalf of a government debt consolidation scheme. When I said I wanted to check the validity of the company, they tried to convince me that they were genuine. I pointed out to them that any genuine company would be fine for their customers to do due diligence and that the fact they were trying to stop me doing that just screamed scam. They hung up on me.

Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it.
