To cut a long story short enough to fit the character liimit, this is not the Halifax, despite websites that say it is. The website I tried to pay was hacked and my payment was intercepted even before the bank could be contacted. THE SOPHISTICATION OF SCAMMERS IS NOW AT AN EPIDEMIC LEVEL. Don't be fooled.

Did not respond - called on my mobile. I do not take Any calls whose number is unfamiliar as have had a plethora recently on mobile and landline. Waste of time.
Phoning every day several times a day. First call usually just after 8am. Sometimes there’s silence, other times a heavily accented Asian man from (always incoherent bank name/financial services) mispronunces our name and insists my spouse left information online requesting information. They get quite aggressive when you deny this and/or don’t wish their calls to continue.
