Insurance SPAM This number and very similar numbers have been calling me daily for a couple of weeks. I have missed the previous calls but answered today. A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. When I told him I don't have a policy he asked if I'd cancelled it and I told him I had and that I don't need life insurance. He immediately told me to have a good day and hung up. Some man claiming to be from Energy Geeks about my water supply. Asked him a few times as to what he has to do with my water supply as there is only one company that provide in this area. He kept asking how it was. Couldn't work out what he was actually after so hung up. Either scam/spam or just out there to annoy people I'm not sure.

has anybody logged on car insurance sites as these calls started after I had posted my details to get car insurance. If these insurance companies are passing our information on surely its against the data protection laws and they should be prosecuted.
Claimed to be from Orange / EE and even though it wasn t a "marketing" call, as they put it, is was exactly that .. Hung up before they got the chase ..

Fake BT scammers, asking to log on to your computer and change settings or your internet switched off!
Lady with Asian accent said she was from BT, asked for the email address of the person who she should email about an internet and systems update. I said we didn t use BT and I was suspicious of the call, she put phone down.

SCAM! Recorded message telling me an arrest warrant has been made against me for tax fraud! Told to press 2 to avoid being arrested, but didn’t want to be charged hundreds for the privilege. Absolute rubbish, nasty scam.
