What are they getting out of this?? I have had 6 calls today including 2 texts!! It has been the worst morning for scam callers and I am absolutely SICK TO DEATH OF THEM!! I am ex-directory and am also registered with the telephone preference service, yet I had two missed calls on my caller display from this number today. When I rang back to see who it was, I got a recorded message saying "you have dialled an incorrect number. Please check the number and redial." Obviously an untraceable number. As I have caller display on my landline, if I get calls from numbers I do not recognise, I do not answer the phone. Sooner or later, these sad individuals will get tried and stop ring

Accepted call and was greeted with friendly How are you today. BUT then went on to ask if I had heard of an IVA. Said yes and asked how they had my number. The reply was they were ringing on behalf of the government to stop people paying excessive credit charges. Asked them to remove my number. Staff member shirty said she had not spoken to me before and just wanted to know my circumstances. Is this one big scam? My mobile is blocked and number hidden so where do they get the information?
