SCAM The caller was a recorded message suggesting they were from a Londoon Magistrate and stated that if I choose to ignore this information then my National Insurance number will be blocked and stop working. After another threat they told me to press 1 to speak to the officer in charge of the case. At which point I hung up.

Just received a call. When I answered, a beeped sounded, an automatic voice said "goodbye" and the connection ended. I called back straightaway and a woman, struggling to speak English, answered, telling me she was from HMRC. She asked me to verify who I was. I replied "you called me, you should know who I am". Well me and my fiance got scammed at £485, the callers number was trustworthy as it was a london number 02032897259. They said the first installment was at £195 and then the money would be transferred, then they said for us that tax was holding the money and will be given to us when £580 was transferred so i said i cant afford it and they said if half is given then we ll make sure it goes through, they were very persuasive and i believed them so i gave them another £290 which was our food money and utility
