Someone called introducing himself as Peter Jones from Finance And Investment Solutions Ltd . they are impersonating a business and personal name by using this landline number to sell a personal loan and trying to get money from people.I checked Finance and Investment solutions Ltd by FCA, and I have been told that Finance And Investment Solutions Ltd is a legitimate company offering only mortgages and its telephone number is totally different from this phone number

Automated number. Silence; but these bots test whether a telephone line is active and gets answered. Even if we say nothing our telephone number will be added to a 'responded/active' list; a list that is then sold to scammers.
Kept calling over the weekend. Did not leave a message and as I do not know the number, did not answer. Have Blocked. tired of all these numbers trying to scam you.

The second one today from the same stable - only the 2 digits at the end are different. Both calls from Manchester. There have been a few today - getting fed up with these scammers ringing constantly. They must be getting very strapped for cash to keep trying to defraud 'unsuspecting' people!! WARNING: 01542832293, supposedly from SKY telephones with a refund of £202 for being over charged in previous months. We don't have any SKY account. Accent was so thick I could barely understand anything he said, but he wanted my details. I said I was not giving any details over the phone to someone that I did not know and wanted someone to talk to me as clearly as I was talking to him. I waited, the line was open, and he hung up. DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL DETAILS OVER THE PHONE.

Fraud - received an SMS saying it was from the NHS and I'd been in close contact with someone who has COVID and to order a test from a link in the SMS. Stupidly, I clicked on the link, and entered card details for Postage of a PCR. RBS got in touch and cancelled the card, although 2 large transactions had been attempted. DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS IN ANY SMS OR ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.
SPAM - Welsh man from call centre said he was from Protective Life (or something) told him I wasn't interested and to take me off his list. Started getting very aggressive and kept asking why and did I even know what the call was about. Told him not interested and he then got angry and called me a whore. Told him where to go and number blocked.

Scam Indian call centre, says internet is broken and tries to get you to download a remote access computer program so they can take over your computer and then claim a ransom from you. Suggest you keep them hanging on the line as long as possible but don't download anything or give them your details. Just string them along and frustrate them. Then give them a mouthful of verbal abuse when you are ready to hang up. Number was +44 (0) 7444496409.
