25/11/19 St 1045am recorded voice claiming to be Amazon Prime informed me that £7.99 monthly direct debit would continue! But said to press 1 if not OK! Is this a SCAM? Or is it Amazon because I have bought from them in the past?
Had a call from this number saying something about pensions but was a hoax. did not take me seriously at all and called me names then said goodbye.
I just received a recorded message saying the call was from HMRC and that there was a tax fraud against me. The following instruction was to press the number 1 to be connected to their offices otherwise a warrant would be raised under my name and I would be arrested shortly. I hung up.

Got a text about the free lines then a phone call very pushy woman I told her I wasn t interested but she kept pushing for me to sign up I ending up having to hang up. I didn t trust it !!!!!

I answered and some strange music was playing, but only for a second. It sounded church-y, but it wasn't upbeat like gospel music, more like a choir? I didn't get a good listen because it was so short before they hung up.
Asked for my daughter by name! I asked who they were - he said Benjamin from BT - has she got a problem with her internet? I said that I would ask her (suspecting a scam). Have blocked the number on my wonderful BT phone.

This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range 17404659xx just with last digits different. A common thing - telemarketing mostly uses a range of similar numbers. This one is mostly reported with pensions, accident claims = insurance telemarketing. Just block it or block the range, I have been using the mobile application from these pages, works fine, no problems. Blocked it, but people pls did someone answer this number, same case or something
