SUPER RUDE human being - and I use the term loosely. Has been rude, aggressive, and generally made a twit of himself to most of my colleagues. Apparently he is calling back tomorrow "before time runs out" on whatever it is he won t tell me about. I think I ll give him the number of one of the PPI pests I ve blocked and let them talk garbage to each other!

On answering what was apparently a London number, a completely automated female voice started rambling on that it was on behalf of someone from HMRC (an officer Denis Grey) and that I or my solicitor needed to call back 'or face the consequences' (oooohh, so scary! *sarcasm*) Just plain irritating and stupid.

these Guys phoned me about PPI claims with a Caldicot dialing code but when challenged they told me they were based in Manchester
got loads of calls, finally blacklisted them on my phone. calls come thru then when picked up..they just hang up. not tried calling back as it may be a premium number scam.

SCAM / SPAM Not sure what to put this under, but they called me saying that I had a case at HMRC and said I would be arrested if I don't press one.
It was to do with my banking contract to help improve my banking package deal ie IF you pay for a premium banking service IE Lloyds Gold where in paying a monthly fee for your account they offer you various insurance packages the twit who phoned me was trying to tell me he was going to improve on my current offer!! this call comes from the all inclusive club trying to sell cheap holidays at all inclusive hotels. Once you have bought into the scheme they bombard you with calls trying to get more money out of you. its impossible to ring back on the number to tell them to stop ringing as well, as you get the "line discontinued" tone. Comes from a call centre abroad i think. I ve had numerous calls over the last few days and each time i answered they just hung up on me, so not answering them anymore.

SCAM Fraud Caller said they were from "banking credit control" and wanted my name and date of birth because he had seen fraudulent activity on my card. When I said I had 4 cards he again asked for my name and DOB so I made something up and he said he could definitely see £300 going to Amazon and £1100 as an International Money Transfer to China! I again asked him which of the 4 cards he was talking about and when he said VISA I told him I didn't have a VISA card and he put the phone down.

It went to voicemail and an automated voice left a message saying that there had been some suspicious activity on my Amazon account to the amount of £1,400+ and that my account would be locked and I should press 1 or 2 to sort this out. Obviously I didn't. I've checked my account due to receiving the same message from a mobile number a couple of days before and it's fine.

I called NatWest on their official telephone banking number who confirmed that this is an automated fraud prevention text alert. It was used to verify a suspicious transaction on my account with a simple Yes or No reply to the text. They state they will never ask for personal details on a text. Genuine number.
