Calls started today from this number from Portsmouth, I've had loads of other calls from similar numbers from Portsmouth too so I'm guessing it's a scam

Clearly a SCAMMER who hung up as soon as I answered with "Hello, who are you?" Now BLOCKED. Seems like a small place, [perhaps the ScotPlods would care to check it out.

He said "sorry we may have wrong number" so theyre obviously working through a list. (It takes a few seconds to connect to an Indian call centre) Clearly spam calling, could be scam. Was an answerphone recording telling me I owed money to the Tax office. I blocked the number as I'm sure HMRC don't use mobile phones to make calls, and will find a conventional method of contacting me rather than a dodgy auto service.

They asked to access my pc to check a frozen crypto wallet. When i asked them why i apparently had £16k in my name they were kindly trying to return to me. I said i wasn't aware of this and they should give it to charity rather than faff about with my pc, this confused the nice man. He insisted i should have my money back, we to and fro'd for a little bit before he eventually accepted that i actually knew more about blockchain transactions than he did.

Called, said they were from our bank. Said there were two withdrawals of substantial amounts that seemed out of character for us. Then said they needed to go through security questions. I hung up, called the bank and it's another scam.

My wife answered the phone, and an apparently recorded message said that there was a suspicious transaction involving a £300 bill from Amazon which had not been paid. Then she was asked to press some number at which point she ended the call. I found the callers number by using 1471. The call appears to be a scam.
Persistently called by this number, trying to sell some energy deal. Repeatedly told him I'm not interested. Will not accept no. I am registered with TPS and have threatened to inform them. Very annoying individual.
