Charges of 64p are made to your mobile number for messages you receive and are listed on my 3 network bill as “Message Event”. I was charged for 3 messages at a cost of £1.94 which is a scam that lots of others will be suffering and accumulating hundreds if not thousands of £ for the scammers. B@^*@RDS

Called today. Heavy Indian accent and lots of Indian voices in the background. Said he was calling from BT Tech dept....yeah ok like I believe that. I told him he was in for a big surprise as we had traced his number and would take matters further as he had reached an internal secure line at Essex police headquarters(he hadn t) but he hung up really QUICKLY. It s about time BT stopped selling blocks of numbers to scammer scum. If they don t then we, as genuine customers, should be able to sue BT.

They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. Phone scams are a common way for criminals to con people out of money using various tricks to get your personal or financial information. A funny voice asked me to wait until the next HMRC agents would be available. This was a recorded message to say illegal activity had been on my internet which would be cut off in 24 hours. I was to press 1 to speak to someone. Clearly an attempt to get into my computer so cut it off.

SCAM, claimed to be from virgin, claimed i had unauthorized IP ADDRESSES ON MY ROUTER,AS THEY HAD NOT GONE THROUGH "SECURITY" I ASKED THEM TO CONFIRM MY ACCOUNT NUMBER AND THEY HUNG UP, I HAD ABOUT 8 CALLS THIS MONTH FROM DIFFERENT NUMBERS & ALL HAD THE SAME ACCENT, AN INDIAN ASIAN ACCENT, THOSE THAT HUNG AROUND TO TALK HUNG UP WHEN QUESTIONED.

Asked for me by name. I asked who was calling. He said it was in response to my putting my name down for more information and asked me what kind of investing I was looking to do. I answered "where was it that I put my name down?" *click* he hung up immediately. He never called back (that was yesterday) Very dodgy.

Got a missed call from this number this morning... Glad I didn t answer.
You get robocalls until you pick up from one Bournemouth number, then the next day you get your "local" energy adviser calling you - just got rid at that point so unsure whether a scam, but certainly unsolicited, and since my number is in the TPS database for not getting unsolicited calls, you can bet your life it's a dodgy company not bothered about following the law or regulations.

DO NOT ANSWER - Scam call from an Asian call centre, openly admitting to charging a premium rate for connecting your call. They begin the conversation stating they are a government scheme aimed at helping pay back loans etc. I received racial abuse from the caller while trying to get information out of him. Have checked all phone records to see if any charges have come through but none as yet, but am unaware if the included minutes have covered this somehow. BLOCK & REPORT.
