I have also received letters and emails from them. Talktalk have confirmed they are not a part of them and do not use them to collect debts on their behalf.
On picking up phone there was a slight delay and an automated message came on saying extension 201 was not available. Blocked call immediately.

I suspect this call to be a SCAM. We do NOT know any one in Skipton. Short ring on my phone so they want you to call back. DO NOT DO IT! I traced this call to Hotel Rendezvous, Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Received two calls from this number today both claiming to be from BT openreaches technical department first time the bloke said he was called Kevin and the second time it was a bloke who sounded Indian. Just hung up on them both

I have been called 3 times by this number over the last 2 weeks - often at highly inconvenient meal times. It appears to be cold calling fund raising drive linked with University of Birmingham (I am an alumnus). Very annoying and puts me off ever donating any dosh to the University (even if I had some to spare! I would like this to stop.
