I received a call from this number saying someone had bought something on my account for £700 and if this was not me to press 1. The voice was female and well spoken. I put the phone down, then checked my Amazon account. This purchase had not been made so probably it is a scam.

Scam and/or phishing attempt. It attempted to get me to message the phone number via WhatsApp. The person had sent an SMS from another number (07566706069) claiming to have dropped their phone down the toilet and that they’d instantly acquired a new phone. They asked me to message specifically via WhatsApp (???). This is the fourth message I’ve had this week, from a variety of unknowns, being asked to message a new number by someone claiming to have lost/damaged their phone.

TAXES / HMRC . The mesage said that tehre is a letter that has been returned back to HMRC and that there will be legal actions against me. Then to press 1 to speak to operator. Nothing happened, when trying to call back there is a busy tone.

Just received a very aggressive call from this number to my mothers house she is 90 and hung up the first time because she could hear. I answered second time when they rang back and was shouted at why do you hand up. They then demand to return box? herself within 3 working days to an address I didn't even catch they introduced themselves as being from Microsoft this call would have scared my mother had she taken it. Called me today, knew my name. Started telling me that I was in debt and that they have a scheme blah blah blah, rambled on for ages and the finally asked if it was something I was interested in. Insurance This number is apparently from a Company called "Review your Policy" - I have been registered for many years with the TPS register which I understand telemarketing are obliged to check every 30 days to ensure the numbers they are ringing are not on this register - the young lady calling was not interested in engaging or apologising for unwanted call.
Answered phone, and said hello someone said hello and ended call. I’ve had quite a few like these and they usually just put phone down with out saying anything. Bit upsetting when your waiting for a call regarding a terminally I’ll relative.
