I have just received a call, a person, with an Asian accent, telling me that they were calling on behalf of my internet provider! (I received a similar call last week too, but told them I was having dinner). Apparently, they have noticed that my internet is not working to it s full potential. They phoned me saying they were from BT and trying to stop marketing calls (Like a kind of international Telephone Preference Service) and tried to get get my card details out of me. They read out my name and address to me then asked for the expiration date on my debit card so they could "verify" my details. I gave them a false one. They then asked for the "Reference" number of the card the big number along the top. I asked them to verify my BT account number (I m on Virgin Media) but they did nit see

Received call form this number and called back to see who it was. Apparently it is the company that handles upgrades on behalf of T-Mobile. They had called me in error as I am with O2. No problems when I informed them of this.
