SCAM Pretending to be my daughter asking (in a text pretending the phone was damaged so they couldn’t speak to me) for £1220 urgent into her account. I refused and told them no. They persisted “I’m not lying”. I didn’t believe them. I called my daughter who clarified it was not her.

This number, an automated woman's voice, called my landline today and purported to be the bank saying that they're checking a £600 payment from my bank account to somewhere abroad. SCAM Says they are working for Visa and two transactions on my account are possibly fraudulent. She would not tell me which card it was on until she has access to my computer. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THEM. I told her it was a scam and she put the phone down. Actions speak louder than words!
Left a message on my answer phone which was difficult to understand but appeared to be about an address for parcel delivery. They never said who they were or asked if I was the person they were trying to contact and further investigation showed that calls to this number cost 16p a minute from a landline plus a setup fee of 23p.
when you call the number back it says ''call is not recognised'' so I assume spam or scam.
This number has called me twice this week, also an identical message from 01362858456, they say they are a bank security and money as been taken out of my account with a larger amount pending. The 01544 number is a local code - all very annoying and worrying.
