Someone called asking for me, saying they re calling from Transcom about "an account". Asked me for my address, which they said was wrong, and kept asking for my previous addresses, saying it will be a previous address and can I confirm my previous addresses. Declined to give them anything further - asked them what it was about, they declined to say anything except "an account" and asked for my username. Repeated missed calls with 1-2 second silent/static answering machine message. I am a Wesleyan customer AND my car insurance is due for renewal soon so I assume it is them electronically dialling me? Never any chance to answer and of course you can t tell who an answering machine message is from until you listen to it, so just an enormous waste of my time.

I would like to second Mo s comment above which turned out to be Vanquis also hounding me for a payment. Bit sneaky of them using a local area code knowing there would be more chance it would be answered!

FRAUD SCAM Recorded message claiming that my internet service would be disconnected due to my (unnamed) ISP detecting 'illegal' activity from my connection and inviting me to press 1 to connect to an 'executive'.

They rang to say they were told to to check if my pension details were correct. Told them I was not going to give out any info and put the phone down

NEVER call these numbers back. They are spoofed by the scammers and are not calls from the UK. If you call them back, you may get caught for a large call charge.

Said they were calling re Thomas Cook all inclusive holiday compensation. Never used Thomas Cook....SCAM!!!
