Call center SPAM Said his name was Alex, however he had a very strong Indian accent. He said that he was phoning from British Gas!? It was about boiler cover, house hold cover for both gas and electric. Asked a couple of questions. He said that he was calling from London, when I asked him what the weather was like in India, and it would be set up today! These people are a bloody nuisance.what I do is answer and put the phone up to the radio.
A recorded message saying "This is BT your internet and Lind Line will cease to operate from today - press 1 to speak to an advisor or 2 to clear". This is an old scam which has reared its head again with new numbers. Do not press either button or you will be charged for the call and can be very costly. Block the number immediately.
