SCAM / SPAM Called me using a computer generated voice claiming to be from the HMRC. Claimed there was tax fraud in my name. Said if I didn't press 1 immediately to speak to someone an arrest warrant would be issued in my name. At this point I burst out laughing and cut the call!

They call scammed People and promise them to be refunded, in fact they call themselves blockchain refund Department. But you have to transfer a percentage of the amount to a Bitcoin account, and from there they make it disappear in a moment. They can be very convincing, they are dangerous.

Says they work one place, live another, work in another. They even messaged saying "Hello, my name is Mark"..... I have four calls this morning 2 numbers I did not managed to log, the third was a private number. This one I logged. Each call is telling me they are calling me from Sky, none are native English speakers, telling me I have a problems with my internet connection, which I do not, being an IT consultant I think I am in a good position to know. When I tell them my credentials they hang up. Going to speak to sky and pass all the information on. First caller did ask if I could hear him.

This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.

Caller (Tom) says a cheque for £3100 due, and something about a cancellation call relating to an Abbey (?) bank account. Calling my elderly father s number. I believe this to be a scam. Fortunately my father isn t able to return the call.
