Rings a couple of times. When you call back you get a message saying this call has been verified. Doesnt say who its from or give any other information.
The caller reports to be from Microsoft and suggest your PC is vulnerable requiring an update. The call is protracted and the caller goes into lots of detail leaving you with the feeling that you have a problem. The caller indicates they can help with the update if they can take control of your laptop .... I stopped at that point.

I received a call from 01792721946 this afternoon from a guy asking how much I paid monthly for my insurance policy but kept dodging the question of which company he worked for. He seemed to know my full name and address but I would imagine they found this online to give them the illusion that it's a real and legit company. Fraud Had text claiming to be be from Starling Bank - text came through on same message thread as previous verification code so I thought it was genuine. Text advised suspicious activity in my account for which they would be contacting by phone (which they did the next day) They already had lots of my identifying info and put me through other checks.
