Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618142xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with pensions, PPI, claims marketing, accident chasers... Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Guys did they call you with the same or something new? Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers, fake PPI claims, ... - inviting you to call them back). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8437240xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?

An aggressively annoying female American voice asking for me by name, late evening, saying that it was a personal call, and refusing to say who they were, other than their Christian name, or why they were phoning.
