company that uses your local dialing codes , but is actually based in Manchester 0161 when you contact them, and they are another annoying PPI caller. just block them , as I tried them and they are rubbish and totally incapable of getting stuff sorted. AVOID!!!!!!!!

Just had a fun half hour with this bunch, I called them 28 times asking them to stop calling me, they went mental! What a great way to wind someone up who you're sick of getting calls from. In the end they pleaded with me to stop calling them. I suggest everyone who has an all inclusive phone contract, and a few minutes to spare on a train journey or a long car trip, to fight fire with fire - give them a taste of their own tactics. 29 - male with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT called me at 9.50am and said someone had been using my internet illegally at midnight... I am not with BT so hung up quickly.

cold call which is a nuisance

I received scam call (1102998053466) from this number a lady (Indian accent) said me she is from BT & my IP has been hacked and she wants to access my computer through Teamviewer to sort this out. I asked her number she provided me this number 02081440409 for call back. Please ignore this call they want to access your computer to steal your confidential information.

Called by this number - called back - went straight to music (no ring) and music continued for several minutes but never answered - hung up.

ppi cold calling

A woman called saying I had been involved in an accident, not true, obviously a scam and I am still getting these calls

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 12532714xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI / insurance marketing / road accident claims. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems) Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

SCAM

SCAM had my name and was trying to get details like age and if I was a smoker out of me. While I was talking he googled the number to see if it’s from the pension company he was claiming he was from. It didn’t come up so I told him it’s a scam and i’m giving his number to the police. He began to cuss me out and said “you’re a waste of time. Go jump off a bridge and kill yourself” and then he hung up the phone. He was trying to force an english accent but was definitely foreign. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

Fraud Got a phone call from this number. I answered the call and nobody answered for about 20 seconds. Then a very thick Indian accent said "Hello, this is Jenny from BT Openreach.....". I replied "No your not...your a scammer" and hung up. I know and live in this dialing code and there are no BT Openreach offices in this area. Given the accent and that it is BT Openreach (which I don't even use) I suspect this is an Indian based scam call centre.

I don't even owe them anything, but they still call every day.

Rang me twice on 30/10/15.They did not answer or leave a message. When I checked the number it belongs to a MARKETING company.

Fraud - auto voice saying they were my credit card company checking in to a fraudulent £600 transaction ( which of course I haven't made)

Government they wanted me to release my social over the phone for some random bullshit they wouldn’t tell me about because they needed my information to talk to me about it.
