I received a call from this number this morning. The caller had my name. When I asked who was calling, the man stated that it was Direct Claims Group regarding the minor accident I'd had. I replied that 'You must mean the minor accident that I haven't had!' and told him to get off the line. When I checked Companies House records, there were two companies called 'Direct Claims Group'. One was dissolved in 2018 and the other in 2019. So the call was definitely annoying and probably suspicious.

Comes up as suspected spam. Guy with an Indian accent said he was calling from a South African call centre on a Manchester landline! Claims he works for a company called UK Tariff that finds out if you're paying too much for your broadband or finds better deals. Thing is this so called company harasses with calls like 24/7 from different numbers most of the day. Hoping you're gullible enough to get to the part where you hand over your bank details. Best way is to report and block if it flags as spam.

If they don’t have the courtesy to let you know who they are when calling I assume it’s a scam and block them. Something fishy when they won’t tell you who they are or why they are calling.

Talking about a potential claim for reimbursement following car finance taken out 10-12 years ago. Didn't feel right as I said I did not know the person they were after and they went on to give me what felt like fairly personal information. The man in question seems to be wanted by a lot of solicitors - maybe he's a wrongun - and that phonecall was a front to get access to him?
