Called a number in Australia obviously a scam number probably piggy backing on another number or a number not in use.

It’s a prank, they are using an app called prank dial. The app has a variety of different recorded messages. If our call the number back you can request to be block from all calls from prank dial. It is pretty much always safe.

Got a call from this number 01743562667 on 26 May at 15:04. No one on the other side, just hung up. Got a phone call the same day from another unknown number from same area (01743562692 at 12:03). Again no one on the other side. Very annoying! I suspect might be someone trying to scam vunerable people during the coronavirus.

MY friend who s was in my home whlst i was out took a phone call she did make a note of the time and the callers name. the man on the phone told my friend i would know what it was about, I have never heard of this company and now i ve seen this site i don t think i will be contacting them back who ever they are, but on cheaking my call list on the phone i can see they have called a few times but never left any message, so wonders what scam this is.
Believe it is Scottish & Southern Electric regarding a planned power cut, but as mentioned in other posts, the female voice is garbled and sounds more like a cold / nuisance call rather than a national utility company.

I got an email asking me to ring this number regarding an overpayment on a car insurance policy from 2014. Thinking that it might be a scam I went online to find the customer services number for the company and rang them on that number not 0330 100 7303.
