I was told that they were a promotional team working on behalf of BT. They offered me a discount on my BT bill of 45%! Wanted to know how I paid my bill. I told them that as BT had supplied them with my name, address and telephone number they should have supplied them with this information also. There was a long pause, then the line went dead. Incidentally the young lady caller pronounced the letter Z (the last letter of my postcode) as 'zee' - an Americanism.

SCAM Caller 'Siobhan' on 03332420495 stating from Taylor Stirling Legal. This company is dissolved. The call was a scam attempt to extract personal data. Rang off as soon as the realised they were rumbled and I was running reverse tracing on them. South African IP and call number spoofing. Beware, very clever question structure to get you to reveal sensitive data.

Cold calling to pensioners as it happens my mother has her wits about her
Automated call stating that £300 & £1,100 had been taken from my card. “Press 1 to cancel”. I pressed 1 to try and find out who was calling. Was told by a guy with a foreign accent that the call was from London Paddington. He asked the reason for my call and then asked for my full name. At that point I put down the phone and registered this number. Obviously this was a fraudulent call.

SCAM Rude guy called my Irish mobile number. Knew my forename. Wouldn't say where he was calling from. I did get confused with accessing my account as I tried to do it through British Gas online, who kept saying they did not have a record of me, eventually I twigged that I access the account through Britishgaslite.co.uk not British Gas. We are now waiting for a smart meter to be fitted. I have been given a date and a time rather than a day or half day slot, I just need to see if they turn up, but so far 5 star rating.

Thanks for your support. It is the second time I received this message on my mobile to confirm my appointment. I will be phoning Homerton Hospital on the 9th of January 2023 referring to this and other things.

Very dangerous. Auto message claiming to be bank fraud office and advising 3 suspect transactions. Asked to press 1 if ok, 3 if not. Did not even give name of the bank! Red flag that auto - they always talk to you in person - they would also want to check that it was actually the custoner talking to! Another red flag re instruction go press button.
07834756958 A Person calls up and says I think you have my phone. (Strange as I've had this number for over 10yrs.) Told him I think you got a wrong number. Then get a text saying sorry to bother you I got a few numbers the wrong way around. Possibly someone doing research to see if the number is active to put it on scam site. So will look out for more calls.
