SCAM Calling and avise there was a problem with our electric meter. Something to do with getting the meter point reference mixed up. Wanting to confirm our meter point reference number. This call sounded dodgy. The caller was not from our Electric Supplier.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. You all need to be aware that this number is likely SPOOOFED. Many scammers are DUPLICATING numbers like Fife Council, so that you assume it s a legit call, should you not answer. That way, they cover their tracks and the number doesn t get blocked, i.e. they distance themselves from the scam. Some of you will have been called by the real Fife Council, others not. It s common. I m not near Fife!
