They are scammers pretending to be Virgin media. They claim that your internet box has been compromised because of suspect malware and then pretend that they want to compensate you by putting money into your bank account, but really they try and take money out of your account. They are Asians and the number emanates from Orpington Kent.

This number first will be an auto recording messaging saying it is from HMRC and if need to talk to a real person, press one. Then someone will ask your name and then says you are under legal charges and ask if any legal advisor will be with you. When you say to them that they are scam, they will cut off the line

They said they were from HMRC. That I was due a refund due to my tax on a ppi claim. I have never claimed on a ppi form. I asked them to put the information in the post, they declined saying they don’t use the post. I then said we’ll send me an email and if you are HMRC you will have my email address. They then said if I changed my mind to phone them. Very strange

I don't know who call me from the number 03333393319. I don't know anyone with this number. The system in my phone classified it as 'Potential Fraud' I blocked it.

I just got a call claiming (falsely) to be from this number, claiming (again falsely) that it was BT Openreach (or something). Claim to be calling from 3 Network to 'upgrade' my phone contract.......I am not with 3. Advised im registered with TPS so shouldnt be receiving unsolicited calls but caller ignored and continued with their sales pitch, so call terminated and caller blocked.

Told the caller his records were out of date as they were the last time he called.... so I don't think we have anything to discus. Hung up. Also, you know it's a genuine bureaucratic banking process when they ask for 10 different details to confirm your identity. I swear the support lady could just identify theft the hell out of me at this point.
