Automated call - Didn't answer, then got a 5s voicemail of a Liverpool accent (phone had auto-identified dialling code as Liverpool) saying "ah right, OK, well we'll take you off our list then". I suspect this was an automated response after my voicemail "answered" to say not available, leave your message etc. and voicemail recorded tail end of the response. Crafty.

Asian caller, addressed me by name and claimed to be calling about my "car accident". SPAM
The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. The lady, with an Indian accent, said she was phoning regarding driveways. I told her she should not cold call me as I am registered with TPS and she told me to contact the TPS and tell them.
Not sure what is going on here, but I got a new sim card today and it was not activated. After installing it into my phone I received an email at 15.46 this afternoon telling me my sim was activated. When I logged into my account online after activation, it showed on my account that I had sent a SMS to this number 07537 452525 at 14.57 today. This was impossible as the sim was not even activated at 14.57 and I definitely did not send any SMS to anyone. I called my Mobile Provider and they are investigating.

SCAM Called by this number early today. Female with a strong Indian accent, said she was from Vodaphone and offering me a new contract. I cut the call short as I was busy with other things. I check after revealed the number is registered to Hutchinson 3G UK / Three UK. VERY unlikely that Vodaphone would be calling to renew my contract via a Three mobile phone. Number blocked, DANGEROUS SCAMMER for sure.

Cold call from this number.
This is a HSBC Bank scam claiming to confirm a withdrawal of a large amount of money for me was $3700. Then claims someone has access to your account and that they can fix this. Total scam don't even have a bank account with HSBC.

Well, they phoned earlier and a recorded message informed me, that it was my banks security department, which it obviously wasn't, the number trace showed a call the Russian Federation, RED FLAG. She said, Somebody has accesed your account and made a £600 purchase fron Amazon and a £2,000 transfer to an international account, RED FLAG I politely told her to stop trying t scam people and she immediately hang up, basically, our phone providers should block these calls, as we are paying to receive them!
