I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. The Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! These are computer generated calls sniffing out voice lines. If you answered "hello" or anything else, then the line will be logged as 'a VOICE LINE' and you'll be called back later by some con-artist! If your phone rings and you don't recognize the number calling you, DON'T SPEAK! JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anything & the line goes dead then you've just successfully escaped being scammed!
Had 2 texts from Bonku one in dec saying i had spent i think 50 something that month and to text STOP to quit or for help ring this number I had the SAME text just today but saying i had spent 25 this month

Person claiming to be from Amazon, saying that an iPhone has been ordered on my account. This is a scam. DO NOT give them any details. Whatever answer you give, they will send you a code to either confirm the purchase or cancel the order. DO NOT click on this code. They are trying to access your Amazon account remotely.

Some recorded woman's voice trying to convince me there are two fraudulent transactions on my bank account, press number one to get details etc. As it happened, I'd just been checking my bank account online, but I wouldn't have believed her anyway, as that's not the way my bank would contact me. This pathetic scam originated from a number in Knighton, a small town in Powys about ten miles from my house. Whoever you are, try and get a life!
