Advised that he is based in Dakar, Bangladesh and that they use an automatic dialler with my telephone number being obtained from an opt-in database. I was called from this number at 7:53 on Monday morning. Call from 'Microsoft Technical Centre'. I pointed out the inconvenient time and they promised to call back...........' I told them not to bother.

Called twice within the hour during the evening. Nottingham code. We live hundreds of miles from there! Left answer machine to deal with it. Recorded message saying there was a power cut in our area (there was not) press a number to acknowledge we'd heard the message (we didn't). We unplugged the phone overnight as they'd said they'd let us know when the power would be back on. Odd!

Automated voice claiming to be from inland revenue (not HMRC). Obviously a scam call, now blocked.
SCAM. Asian male called "Mike" rang saying he was from TPS and asking if I was receiving a lot of nuisance calls. Told him yes, including him, & put the phone down. Really don't think TPS will be auto-ringing from a call centre!

Called 3 times. When I picked up they said you asked us to call back, which I didn't. They said its an insurance company or something like that.

Have been called multiple times from this number 01164884202. It only started happening when I had to use my Android phone's normal browser (Firefox) to make an online bike insurance quote. Usually use duck duckgo which blocks your telephone number from sites
