DON'T SPEAK if you don't recognise the number - JUST LISTEN, wait for them to speak first. If the caller just hangs up or only a crackling noise is heard and then hangs up, then congratulations you've just escaped being scammed. Well done!
A young man, purporting to be from a home insulation firm, said he was calling those in my postcode area to discuss insulation. When I demanded that he tell me the post code he politely rang off. Very dodgy, in my view

SCAM I was out when this number called. They did not leave a message on my answer phone but the number was recorded on my incoming call information system. Using a recall system it was found the number had become non-existent and was therefore no longer traceable. This would indicate that it is from a SCAM telephone number/company. Funny how over the last week, I have been getting calls from Manchester on my mobile. They alway hangup before it goes to my answer service. This has to be a sales call or fake service that has picked up on my number, otherwise they would leave a message for me to get back to them.
