Phone was off but had a missed call from this number and HUGE reported on line concerns from people about it. It worryingly coincides with DAILY Phishing e mails for past 3/4 months reported to report@phishing/ICO and Microsoft. We have friend's numbers programmed into our phones. If the phone rings and no name is shown on the screen, DON'T answer it! They can always send an SMS - they have my number anyway! I have no idea who this number belongs to as I am not willing to call it all I know is the person that fraudulently tried 3 different companies to take loans out of £5000 each application in my name with all my correct details bar my phone number this number was on all 3 applications I’ve had a hell of a day trying to stop this fraud and could possibly take upto a further 7 days as I have to prove who I am like wtf it’s in the hands of action fraud now no idea how they got my details

Indian accent claiming to be EE running a promotion. He ask for some pretty personal information. Name, address etc things EE should already have on file. Did not know the branch he was working from and was pretty adamant to get card info to enroll for the so called promotion but I had already picked up that it was a scam so no information was provided.

Text Message - from BT SMS. As a Vodafone customer this is being sent via my line to my router to pick up as a message. Unless I actually answer or get the message, the number keeps calling. Have asked for this to be stopped by Vodafone but unfortunately it still hasn't.

Safe number - didn't answer but called back. Seems a person, not a company, they dialled the wrong number.
Scam and/or phishing attempt. It attempted to get me to message the phone number via WhatsApp. The person had sent an SMS from another number (07566706069) claiming to have dropped their phone down the toilet and that they’d instantly acquired a new phone. They asked me to message specifically via WhatsApp (???). This is the fourth message I’ve had this week, from a variety of unknowns, being asked to message a new number by someone claiming to have lost/damaged their phone.
